What is stored, and where

Everything the app remembers — which structures you have learned, your review schedule, streak, XP, quiz results and settings — is written to a database inside the app's own container on your device. It is not uploaded anywhere. It is included in your device backup if you back up your iPhone or iPad, and it is deleted when you delete the app.

Network use

The app is fully offline. The 3D models, audio pronunciations and all anatomy content are bundled in the download; nothing is fetched at runtime.

There is exactly one case where the app makes a network request:

• The optional AI tutor. By default it runs entirely on your device using Apple Intelligence, and nothing is transmitted. If — and only if — you choose to paste your own Anthropic API key into Settings, your typed question and the name of the structure you asked about are sent to Anthropic's API (api.anthropic.com) to generate the answer. That is your own key and your own account with Anthropic; their handling of that request is covered by Anthropic's privacy policy. The key is stored on your device only. Remove it from Settings and the app stops making network requests entirely.

Tapping a "Source: Wikipedia" link opens Safari, which is governed by Apple's and Wikimedia's own policies.

Children

Anatomy Recall does not collect personal information from anyone, including children. There is no account, no messaging between users, and no user-generated content shared with anyone.

Your choices

• Delete all study data at any time: Settings → Reset progress.
• Remove the AI key at any time: Settings → clear the API key field.
• Delete the app to remove everything it stored.

Changes

If this policy changes, the updated version will be published on this page with a new date.
