Privacy Policy
Last updated 23 October 2026.
Pointsmax collects no personal data. It collects anonymous usage statistics, and a small profile only if you choose to join a Study Squad or a school leaderboard.
- Your subjects, grades, progress, flashcard history and settings are stored only on your device (and in your personal iCloud backup if you have that enabled). They never reach us.
- There is no account, no sign-up and no advertising.
- Anonymous usage statistics. Pointsmax uses TelemetryDeck, a privacy-focused analytics service based in the EU, to see how the app is used so we can improve it: for example which screens are opened, how far people get through setup, which subjects and levels were picked and a rough target-points range, whether a study session was finished and its score, whether the upgrade screen was shown or bought, and the answer to "How did you find Pointsmax?". Each install is identified only by a random ID that TelemetryDeck hashes before storing it, so the statistics can't be linked to you. We never send your name, email, school, typed text or location, and the data is never used for advertising or tracking.
- Study Squads and school leaderboards (optional). Only if you join a squad or turn on the school leaderboard, Pointsmax saves a small profile in Apple's CloudKit (iCloud) so your squad can see it: a random player ID, a made-up display name and colour (you can't type your own name or messages), your weekly study effort, levels done and which days you studied, and, only if you opt in, your school and county. Other squad members and leaderboard viewers can see this. It is used only to run squads and leaderboards, is never sold, never used for advertising and never used to track you. You need to be signed in to iCloud to use squads; we never see your Apple ID, name or email. To have your squad data deleted, email us at the address below with your squad's join code.
- Purchases are handled by Apple. We receive no personal information from a purchase.
- Tapping "Open in paper" opens the State Examinations Commission's public website in your browser; their privacy policy applies there.
