Rythm Trainer

Learn to sight-read rhythms

How it works

You'll see a rhythm written in music notation. A metronome will play and a cursor moves across the notes. Tap in time with the notes — don't tap during rests.

Sound before sight

Each rhythm has a spoken "word". Learn the sound first and you'll recognise patterns instantly instead of counting.

Rests

Rests mean silence — don't tap during a rest. We say "shh" to keep the pulse.

Scoring

Perfect — right on the beat
Great — very close
Good — slightly off
Miss — too far off or forgotten

Score 70% or higher to unlock the next level.

Tips

  • Listen to the 4-beat count-in to feel the tempo
  • Watch the blue cursor — tap when it reaches a note
  • On desktop you can also press Space
