SightRead ("we", "our", or "the app") is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what data we collect and how we use it. It covers the SightRead iOS app, the web demo on this site, and this website.

Data We Collect

We do not collect any personal data. SightRead operates entirely on your device. No account creation is required, and no information is sent to any server.

Local Storage

The app stores your progress (unlocked levels, star ratings, and settings) locally on your device using standard iOS storage (UserDefaults). This data never leaves your device and is deleted when you uninstall the app.

The web demo stores the same kind of progress in your browser's local storage (localStorage) for this site. It is not sent anywhere. Clearing your browser's site data for rubenreut.github.io removes it.

Sharing a Result

After a level, the app can show a results card you may choose to share. If you do, the image is handed to the iOS share sheet and to whichever app you pick there. We never receive it. Nothing is shared unless you tap share.

Analytics & Tracking

We do not use any analytics services, tracking tools, advertising SDKs, or third-party frameworks that collect data.

Children's Privacy

The app does not collect any information from anyone, including children under 13. It is safe for use by all ages.

Third-Party Services

The app does not integrate with any third-party services that could collect your data.

This Website

This site is a static site hosted on GitHub Pages. It sets no cookies and runs no analytics. As with any web host, GitHub may keep standard server logs (such as IP addresses) as described in GitHub's privacy statement.

Changes to This Policy

If we update this policy, we will post the new version on this page with an updated effective date.
